Hi all,
I am a current 4th year neurology resident in a clinically strong neurology program. I have good research experience. I am looking for a vascular neurology fellowship starting from 07/2013. If you are recruiting a fellow or have information about any open position please send me a message and I can forward you my CV. Thanks!

If you're a PGY4 just looking at stroke fellowship programs now, then you must have either decided late, chosen not to go through the match, or tried and failed to match. Most programs are going to be filled through the match for this coming year, so you're at a disadvantage. I'm sure there are lists out there of programs that didn't fill. Perhaps you should start contacting those programs?

I don't think vascular neurology has a match. I agree with above posters though, you need to email programs directly if you're serious.

In my case, it is a late decision. There was no match for vascular neurology fellowship this year or even earlier. Only two neurology fellowships are going through match: neurocritical care and movement disorder (they decided to do match only this year).
Thanks for your suggestion too.

If given a choice at this point in time, I would opt for ACGME accredited Vascular neurology programs at this point in time, as you can get boarded, something that will be increasingly necessary for obtaining hospital privileges and the best positions available.

Sometimes people change their minds, get jobs, etc, and there are probably unfilled positions out there, so it is definitely not too late, particularly if you are not picky about location.

Good luck!
