I saw on the ABPN website that scores for the boards were mailed on November 2nd. Anyone gotten theirs yet or heard of people who have gotten theirs? I am obsessed with this until I find out whether I've passed or failed. I really have no idea but I feel I failed...but then again I'm highly anxious and pessimistic that way. I know, I know...quite pathological of me right now. Only because I can't imagine having to study for that thing again...

Well, for those interested, it seems the Part I scores were mailed last week. The scores for graduates from 2008 and beyond have yet to be mailed. Friday or next Monday was the estimate I was given...

Friday or next Monday for 2008 and beyond? Really? That seems VERY quick considering last year no one found out until near Christmas time...although last year's scoring was delayed and this year's exam was given out earlier than last.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Alright finally...board certified neurologist.

For those of you who took the ABPN neurology initial cert boards this past September, results are available on Folios website: https://application.abpn.com/webclient/folios.aspx

You need email and password to get set up through the website.

doctorlarry,
thanks so much for the link. I just logged in and found out that I'm now a board-certified neurologist!

you've made my day man! 🙂

just one quick question, I took my exam on 9/24, but the Folios web site shows a different date (9/13), are they just using a common generic date or something?

Of course I took mine on 9/13 so that doesn't help you...but you're probably right. See what the mailed report says and get in touch with abpn if there's still a discrepancy. btw...congratulations! No matter how many tests we've taken in our career, it always seems the same...that moment of truth right before the exam, the dreaded wait, and that moment right before your result. Take a deep breathe and celebrate. You've worked your butt off.

Thanks. you're absolutely right! it's the same exam-taking process all over again.. I'm really glad I don't have to study for this thing again (at least for 10 more years!). it's a HUGE relief

Well I'll be damned!! I passed the test!! I have to admit, the second half of the test was not bad at all, it was the morning session that had me anxious!!

For anybody reading this that has not taken the exam, I have to tell you, I honestly do not think I would have passed this test if it was not for the book "Laughing your way to passing the neurology boards". I read the thing cover to cover so many times I was sick of it, but it sure helped!! I would thank Amy McGregor (the author) personally if I ever saw her in person.

Officially board certified!

I still haven't gotten the letter, but I checked on the ABPN website homepage. Just plug in your ID info and you can check. Good luck everyone!

For those interested, the pass cutoff was 73% correct. They threw out a few questions apparently.

Got the letter in snail mail today. So glad I passed! Phew...

woo hoo.. board certified!

i didn't think the exam was too bad.. but i was freaking out the last couple months because my computer crashed during my exam.. thankfully they didn't lose any of my data or else i'd be super pissed

My computer crashed too! Apparently, not a problem. For those wondering how the boards compare to the RITE, I would say that the questions are generally more straight forward and more clinically relevant (for the most part), but there is obviously more pressure to get a high percentage right.
