Hi,
I was wondering what cardiac procedures an Interventional Radiologist does?

I haven't found too much through google, so if anyone has a link with a list of cardiac procedures that IR do, please share!
Thanks

You can angiovac thrombi and do pe lysis but otherwise cardiac procedures left for IC

cardiac arterial = IC. venous interventions (and PEs) = IR

The question completely depends on the practice and geography of the hospital. In a large academic institution, interventional cardiologists will be doing 100% of the coronary work, and will likely be involved in TAVRs. They also may or may not be doing PAD. They will less likely be doing AAAs.

In private practice, I have known some interventional cardiologists doing a large amount of PAD and 'chipshot' infrarenal AAA work, in addition to standard cardiac work (coronaries, pacemakers, etc.). Some have even attempted/done renal biopsies.

IRs in academic centers are likely not doing any coronary work. In private practice I have heard of some IRs helping with ACS call, but that's about it realistically cardiac wise.
