So - once we certify our list, do will still have the ability to change it (before 2/25)?

yes. make sure you re-certify your list once you change it though, otherwise you won't be able to match anywhere.

heres a question....do I have to include a supplemental list if I am only ranking one prelim program?

if you have advanced programs, yes, you should still assign each one a supplemental list, even if that list is only 1 program long.

I see. What if you are applying to only advanced programs and would rather take this prelim year than any categoricals?

Just like test questions, go with your gut. Don't do a whole lot of rearranging. That can lead to serious pain...

each of your advanced programs should still be assigned a supplemental list (eg Supplemental A) that has one program listed (the prelim that you want/are sure about getting). if you don't assign a supplemental list to your advanced programs, then you will be unmatched for your PGY-1 year after matching for PGY-2+. and then you'd have to scramble for a PGY-1 year.

this is my understanding of how advanced+prelim programs work.
