Hello all. I am an author of fiction researching ideas for a crime/horror novel and need to verify a number of medical facts. My question is what would happen if 100% ethanol(or any high concentration of alcohol) was injected directly adjacent to the lower spinal cord in a healthy human?

Would the alcohol destroy both the sensory and motor neuron cell bodies of the spinal cord?

Would it induce swelling/inflammation and subsequent scar tissue formation similar to a traumatic spinal cord injury?...in effect producing a "complete" lesion where no function/sensation would be present below the injury site?

I apologize for my incomplete understanding of nervous system anatomy and physiology. I do have a scientific background, but not a medical one.

Thanks for your time.
