Who's heard back with interview offers for categorical Child Neurology residency? When did you hear from them?

Anyone heard back from SLU in St. Louis and responded back with dates that has gotten an email confirmation back? Do we know how long it takes to hear back post replying with date preferences?

Elated and thrilled about current interview offers! Concerned about getting enough volume of total interviews to feel secure about matching somewhere given the tiny program size in this field (neurotic medical student checking in...) - are lots of places filling up already?

I feel you cloudhands. I'm also very worried haha. I feel my schedule becoming ever so more complicated, convoluted, and full.

I'm waiting to hear back from some specific programs (UChicago, Northwestern, UT Southwestern, Vanderbilt, University of Tennessee, Ohio State, Duke, Emory, Oregon, Arizona). I'm afraid that I'll interview at mostly super competitive places, and end up scrambling because I vastly overestimated how much they like me haha.

I think UChicago sent out their first round of interview invitations today.
 
Oh, well that's not looking good for me then. Just got waitlisted at Vanderbilt. 🙁
 
I just feel confused because I was more confident in getting an interview at U of Chicago, but not in getting interviews at some of the other places. :/

Gah. Today is not a good day for me. 🙁
 
If it makes you feel better, I've only heard from 4, so you've got a good list so far! I don't know anyone else applying for peds neuro which is why I'm on here, but I'm trying not to worry as I haven't seen people posting about interviews from the other 11 programs I haven't heard from yet (though I too haven't heard anything from Vandy, so I likely didn't make that waitlist either...). I really think it's still early!

I think a good portion of the stress is the "I don't know anyone else applying for..." factor in this specialty. The cozy size of our chosen specialty makes things very mysterious! 🙂
 
I just feel so confused because I've gotten interviews at some reach programs, but not at places I felt more confident in.

Exactly!! Everyone tells me it'll be okay but I still have no idea what I'm doing. I'm not sure if going on here will make us feel worse or better but we'll see - fingers crossed everyone 🙂

May be good to keep updating our peds neuro interview dates without peds on them too? Seems the programs are usually not going to send out invites at the same time (all of mine except Vandy were before or after peds dates) but you never know!
 
I've heard that Pitt has also sent requests for more info to some applicants recently, although I haven't heard from anyone with a confirmed interview date.
 
Yeah, I just got an email from UPMC today asking for a brief paragraph about why I am interested in UPMC. Hadn't heard back from PD besides a "Thanks for your paragraph, we'll be in touch"

Did you respond with your paragraph via a reply to the ERAS message or did you look up an email address and send an actual email? Asking because I responded to this via ERAS and did not hear anything from them.
 
I found an email address and sent him an actual email. I sent it about a half hour after he sent the ERAS message and within ten minutes he sent me a confirmatory email thanking me.

I also sent my UPMC blurb on ERAS last night. I called earlier in the day and was told the ERAS messages were going through so using that is great. She'll be checking emails at the pedsresidency email listed for the coordinators on their website as well. I haven't heard back either but we should be good to go

Question: Is anyone scheduled to interview at Northwestern looking/willing to switch their interview date from either November 9th/10th or January 11th/12th to December 14th/15th? If so, please message me. Thank you!

Also, I applied to and have not yet heard from CHOP. Looking forward to meeting you all on the interview trail!

I'm also praying for that Second Batch of invites. I definitely think I am competitive for places that have already sent out invites a while ago, but nothing.... No new invites for almost two weeks. The Program Director survey mentioning that 50% of invites are sent in October has proven inaccurate for me so far. 🙁
 
Didn't apply to UT Austin or Rutgers, but I too haven't heard from CHOP. I've heard that CHOP and Boston Children's tend to be late invites in the past (though it looks like someone heard from Boston Children's already so I could be wrong). Any news from Columbia?

Hi! I heard from Rutgers yesterday. Also have not heard from UT Austin or CHOP or Columbia.

And University of Alabama I heard from a while ago just for completeness of the list.

I was told by a child neurology applicant who matched in 2015 that she received interview invitations through the end of October with the exception of BCH (November). I also heard through the grapevine that CHOP and BCH send out invites later than other programs, but this is primarily here say and as Kel C Fish mentioned, BCH/BCRP is presently on the invitation list.

I also applied to Columbia and have not yet personally heard back.
