Cutoffs for top-50 neurology programs?

You will be OK with mid to high 230s. Research is a big plus. Top tier schools are not out of reach based on this information alone. If you take Step 2 early, it will be factored in, and a good Step 2 score can definitely help an application, moreso if the Step 1 score was lowish. Yours was not lowish, but if you can get a 260 on Step 2 you might raise some eyebrows.
