Hey guys, I met with 2 possible research mentors about summer research. One is the director of dermatology, and the other is the director of dermatopathology (she did pathology residency first then fellowship in dermatopath).

I'm leaning more toward the dermopathologist since she stated she would guide me along the research process up to publication, and appears to have more time to meet with me.

However, I'm worried that the director of dermatology would hold more weight in the LOR category than pathology-trained dermatopathologist.
