I have an older friend that did a business degree, now he's completing his life science degree in hopes of becoming a doctor. Will this impact the admission process in any way?

All he needs to do academically is take the pre-reqs and take the MCAT. A second degree isn't necessary.I have an older friend that did a business degree, now he's completing his life science degree in hopes of becoming a doctor. Will this impact the admission process in any way?
Just trying to save them a few thousand dollars and a few semesters of their life... 😛I think the question is whether it's bad to have a prior career/degree. It's only bad if the grades were bad, because every grade ever earned in any college work is included in a med school app.
