ok, i am having a little trouble figuring out where to post out...
Can anyone awnser the folowing question for me? I am not yet a med student but I am looking into become a radiographer, and I have 2 DUIs on my record, one in CA in 2001 and one in MI in'06. Since they are less than 7 yrs. apart, this one wascounted as my second offense.
Before I enter a RAD program, I will still need to complete my prereqs/support classes, and by the time I get into the actual program, I would be off of probation.
Also, there is the question of weather the ARRT will certify me upon graduating b/c of this. Does anyone know anything about this or been through a similiar circumstance?

you're not going to get much help here as this forum is for allopathic medical students and don't know anything about the ARRT or rad tech programs. you can probably get better info from the technologist forum over at auntminnie.com . one dui can be chalked up to a mistake, two is a trend, so be careful.

Let me see, where did I put my CAGE questionnaire...🙄

How'd this wind up in allo class threads?

In regards to your chances of gaining certification, you need to contact ARRT directly at (651) 687-0048, ext. 580. They'll more than likely suggest that you fill out and submit a pre-application review for eligibility of certification.

There you guys go again, assuming this is an allo site. I think it is an equal site for allo and osteo alike......

Right??

I can read X-Rays just like the allo kids, right?

• Have you ever felt you should Cut down on your drinking?

• Have people Annoyed you by criticizing your drinking?

• Have you ever felt bad or Guilty about your drinking?

• Have you ever had a drink first thing in the morning to steady your nerves or to get rid of a hangover (Eye opener)

Relax, will you? This person has posted in multiple forums. I saw it in the "All-Students Forum", where I asked to clarify if this person was looking to become a radiologist or radiology tech, and the person didn't answer.
