anyone know whens a good time to file fafsa? and when to expect school's financial aid letter?

I've always been told to file as soon after January 1st as you can. Even if you have to use estimates for your income until you get your taxes done, you can edit it later. But the sooner you get it done the better your chances of getting a good package. Just what I've been told...
