Best places to find financial aid for undergrad?

I'm a high school senior looking to apply for financial aid going into my first year of college. Thank you!

financial aid is government aid. you have to file a FAFSA form and then see how much aid you will get.

Except for that you should apply to scholarships. The best place to do this is, at your own school, ask around to see if there are any offered. Look locally, or go to fastwebs.com

Your main amount of financial aid is reported to you via the school. As Einstein said, you fill out the FAFSA form and using that, the university(ies) you've been accepted into will send you a financial aid letter detailing the scholarships, loans, grants, etc. you're eligible for.

Other, smaller financial aid money can come from scholarships you apply to individually. They're usually around the $1000-$2000 amount and you usually have to write an essay or something when applying. Not as large as your government subsidized loans, but not bad nevertheless.

Good to see you back Kara! I hope your birds are doing well!

Also make sure you look at local scholarships. Community service clubs such as Rotary often have scholarships. My high school had like 20 scholarships that were based on need/merit (little of both). I've found fastweb to be a waste, but maybe you'll find something good on there.
