The NBME wrote me and told me I flunked the ICE part of the Step 2 CS though 🙁 So that is a bit of a bummer.

That is a bummer, but at least it's post match so you can just retake it and move on. No biggie.

I'm a lttle concerned about failing the ICE part myself. I suppose I'll find out in a couple of weeks. How long ago did you take the exam?
 
Sorry to hear the bad news deschutes. I hope that the bad news didn't weigh down your birthday too much. I took CS very recently and am starting to second geuss myself. If I wanted to slap one of the SP for inconsistent physical exam results would that affect my interpersonal skills score?
 
Took it March 2 in Houston. They must be getting more efficient at score reporting!

I apologize to all - I actually passed. It was the Kahlua talking last night 😀 I was pulling Andy's leg because he kept asking me throughout March if I had any news.

Mrbojangles I second-guessed myself with every station! The moment I sat down to write the patient note I'd think of something I forgot to ask.

ICE = Integrated Clinical Encounter
CIS = Communication and Interpersonal Skills
SEP = Spoken English Proficiency

The score report drones on for the longest time but really doesn't tell you anything apart from the P/F grey boxes.

I don't recall this being the case. Maybe the Kahlua is still doing the talking.
 
Man oh man you had me fooled. Now next time you make a similar claim people will be thinking that you're crying wolf 😴. Well now that CS is over, all we have to worry about is Step 3. Can we all agree that Step 3 is a crock of ****?

If I really do study my butt off and still fail a crucial exam I think I'll go home, marry the boy of my grandma's dreams - and rot.

When grandma wishes me Happy Chinese New Year or Happy Birthday over the phone she'll tell of my architect cousin who brought her Aussie boyfriend (Number 27 in the last 5 years?) home and then ask if I'm seeing anyone in med school. Thank heaven that's as far as it goes. When I go back I tear around so much that I'm never in the house long enough for any dates to be set up.

You can tell the neighbourhood that your grandkid is gonna be a doctor. You can't have your cake and eat it.

my grandmas are no longer with us. now it's just my mom giving me crap everytime i go home.

I'm defending my Ph.D. thesis! :scared:

It should go all right (if I can ever get my seminar done 🙄 ) but I am just really looking forward to getting it over with at this point. Then I get to go home and see my little niece! 👍
