Hi Joe,

Just from being on this forum, I can tell you this....if you have already taken all of your pre-req science courses, and unless they are 10 years old, then you should look into a Masters Program. Post Bacc programs are mostly for people who dont have any sciences and/or are considered non-traditional students. Some people will tell you to retake a Post Bacc, just to get higher grades, and while that may help you. I think a Masters Program would look better to the adcom's. I would be interested in seeing what others on the forum had to say about my comment. It is, however, general concensus that post bacc programs should not solely be used as gpa boosters.

You should call a pre-med advisor to specific schools in your area that have post bacc programs and you should see what they say. Good luck!
 
Have you taken all your prereqs? I'm assuming you have because you took the mcat.

There are several ways to improve your gpa. There are post baccs for academic achievers aka gpa improvers. 2 programs come to mind, UPenn and UConn. Or you can go the master's way, like Georegtown's SMP.

yeah i have taken my prereq , i got some c's though but thanks for the help i have an appointmen to go see a premed advisor so i should be solid on which way to go hopefully. thks.
