Hi - for those who interviewed at ICO - i know we have to write an essay before you leave or something? is there a way to prepare for that?

The essay will be before the interview so you interviewer can read it if they want. As long as you are prepared for the interview it will be fine because it will just be a question about yourself so they can learn more about you.

The essay portion of the interview day really didn't seem like a big deal to me. They try to make it seem like a surprize, and they only give you ten minutes to write it, so I don't think that they expect anything spectacular.

I felt that as long as you're able to write something that makes sense and trys to answer the question (mine was "what can you bring to the ICO community?", or something) it should be fine.
