ive read and received various posts about nuclear medicine being a sound alternative to rads. yet, i cant understand how. its my impression that nuclear medicine is twice to thrice as difficult to obtain than a rads residency, and if someone did get into such a program...than its pretty sure that they would have qualified for a rads residency somewhere. so, is this true and to what benefit can obtaining a nuclear medicine residency help in landing a rads residency down the line? is this kind of route common throughut the past years or just talk among discussion boards?
