Prospective Residents,

A group of residents including myself are currently in the process of compiling a comprehensive list of all of the various training opportunities that are available throughout the US Diagnostic Radiology programs (including DIRECT, Clinical and "Other"). As it may take some time to get this completely finalized, we wanted to make the running document available to you. Our hope is that as more information is added, you will be able to make more educated decisions on where to apply for residency (if you desire an IR-focused education).

It is without question a work in progress, but we expect more and more blanks to fill in the coming months.

And the question is: why so many pathways and models of training and practice for just one field ? How come Orthopedics or Ophthalmology do not have such different or even opposite ways.

What should have been done 20 years ago to protect turf, is done today. SIR is 20 years behind the game.
