With the hope of getting some good clinical discussion going, we'd like to try out a sort of journal club in the forum. The way we think it will work best is like this: if you have a journal article that you think should be discussed (a relatively recent article would be preferable, but if there is a good classic article you want to discuss, we can do that too), either post a PubMed link to the article in this thread or you can PM pacpod or myself. An article will be chosen and we'll post a link to it and discuss the pros and cons of the article, applicability, etc.

I think this will be a good time to start this since we've started a new academic year, with new students starting pod school and new residents starting their residency.

This is a great idea. I look forward to taking part.

The TightRope article seems interesting.

In addition I recommended the following article for students. It may not be sufficient to stimulate the minds of the residents, but I found it to be a good read due to conflicting viewpoints within my schools surgery department.
