There’s a ketamine center in my area billing for the infusion, does anyone know how this is possible?

I know everyone is going to say it’s fraudulent billing, but they’ve gotten away with it for years.

anyone have any insight? The fact that this is cash pay only has mitigated my group from pursuing this treatment
 
You can bill whatever you want to the patient directly, insurance/government attending involved and don't care.

Same thing with Botox or any other cosmetic procedures.

how is it possible? It's cash. There are no rules. Getting away with it is simply having people willing to pay what they charge. Fraud only comes into play if you are trying to bill CMS or an insurance company for something you didn't do. Cash payments for ketamine infusions are less fraudulent than going to a palm reader or a reiki healer.
