I was curious as to how many of you have had the procedure done, and if you've had any radiology-specific issues after having it done? I was considering having it done during my TY, but I am aware that the side effects can include eye-related issues such as haloed vision and headaches, so I'm a little leery of it. If anyone has any input, I'd appreciate it.

Consider PRK or LASEK. Longer healing time, but less long term complications. Once upon a time when I was into Ophtho, I did a study comparing the PRK and LASIK. PRK was better.

Look into the papers published by Moshirfar out of Utah comparing various techniques. PRK usually has lower incidence of aberration and other secondary side effects than LASIK. They tend to have similar visual improvement.
