I'm currently torn between retaking the MCAT in either May 20th or July 8th for this upcoming cycle, and am wondering whether the latter is too late?!

My first MCAT score didn't go so swell, and I've been studying a little for it afterwards, but working in a research lab and retaking classes full time makes studying very tough. I'll be done with classes and my lab in early May and am wondering if retaking in late May is too early?

I'm planning on submitting the app as soon as possible in May with my previous, not super hot MCAT score (502), but am not so sure if a July retake (will study for a guaranteed higher score) will set my chances back for all DO schools?

P.S. Registeration for June MCAT are full, so July 8th is my earliest option

Btw: thanks for any help! 🙂

Nah, July is just fine! As long as you make sure that your application is complete before then (the only thing you should be waiting for is the MCAT score), you should be fine!
