Is this motivated or desperate?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

question for anyone out there to answer? here is the situation. I live in pennsylvania, and I want to attend loma Linda's post bac biomedical science program. I want to discuss my appliaction with the progarm director, and, it is not possible over the phone, and not really practical over email. So, I am going to fly there to take a tour, but also to speak with him. I want this so bad! I think this is the only way to find out for sure what he wants, and if not accepted, Ill know what I can do in the nexy year. I feel I am a weak appl for dental sachool, but a strong appliacnt for a post bac. It took me a few years of school to get my **** together. My undergrad is a 3.0 on my transcrips 2.5 from aadsas, due to retake. I have a masters in bio, with a 3.256. Ill have a 3.4 by the end of june due to summer classes. What does everyting think. Will flying there mkae me look desperate, or motivated. Im leaning towards motivated

Why is it not practical to speak with him over the phone? I do not know anything about Loma Linda or its proximity to where you live, but if you are flying a distance to speak with him for 5 minutes maybe it would be more practical to do over the phone. If you like your chances from that conversation then I could see spending money to fly out and take a good look at the place. However if your stats are below the average for their accecpted students and you're hoping that flying out there would make a difference, I think it would be a waste of money if you have no realistic chance of being accecpted anyway.
