Howdy,

I keep going back and forth between these MUSC and University of Colorado. I loved both, and have some family who live in Denver, so Ive currently got Colorado ahead. I really, really liked Charleston though, as did the wife, and the residents were so nice. They seemed genuinely happy... Didn't get a good feel for the guys in Colorado cause I missed the dinner with the residents.

But, I really cannot decide which to put higher on this list. Which is better from a educational standpoint? Research? reputation?

In the end, I'd like to end up practicing in Texas.

Thanks for your input!

Just choose where you want to live ... Denver vs Charleston .... those are dramatically different locations... so comparing the educational aspects is almost pointless in my opinion. It might be different if you were debating MUSC vs Duke. Both Colorado and MUSC will provide fine education.... So... just choose where you'd prefer to live and where your wife would prefer to live.

All of that said... if you're hoping to land in Texas in the long run... why not a Texas program? If you received interviews from Colorado and MUSC, I'd find it hard to believe that none of the Texas programs showed you any love.

I got interviews from Colorado, UVA, Emory (not musc) amongst other places and didn't get any interviews from Texas radiology programs. Transitional years, yea but not radiology. Weirder things have happened.

Both of these programs are fantastic when it comes to training. Go with your gut, location and closeness to family/friends in my opinion.

A little late now I guess.
