So I'm an incoming R1 starting on neuro rotation. What are some good basic resources to start out with? Thanks.

I used B&H's neuro section and also read a little Requisites, which is way more dense. I wouldn't bother reading before July 1, unless you're using it to escape the medicine/surgery blues. You'd be better off reading a real book for that though.

B&H Neuro is good for a first rotation. HeadNeckBrainSpine is also a really good website. Try to get through as many cases from that website as possible since it's great bread and butter stuff.
Depending on how your program is structured you may be limited to mainly CTs vs full spectrum of neuro. HNBS has good flash based anatomy for temporal bones and CTA H&N as well as nodal maps for ct soft tissue necks.
It seems daunting at first, especially the anatomy but you'll catch on. Symmetry is your friend unless the abnormality is bilateral 😉

There is a relatively short book by Castillo called Neuroradiology Companion. It's an easy read with a lot of pictures. I would start there. You can easily read it in your month and it is the highest yield beginner resource. I haven't seen the new edition but I suspect it's good.
