Another vote for Crocs! Easy to clean, comfortable, and low cost to replace if necessary. Plus I don't have to touch them to put them on.

Nike Monarch shoes are the best shoes for hospital work. They are specifically designed to be "dad shoes". Very comfortable, especially if you are taller and/or bigger than average. I have been re-purchasing this shoe for the last 6 years. I now have a pair for each hospital I work at, as well as my at home shoes.

On doing an internet search again, New Balance is now coming out with their own dad shoes. They might be worth a look. But currently I can vouch for the Nike Monarch shoes.

Three years ago I got these: Keen PTC Slip-On II. They're still going strong (just changed the insoles a couple times)

They're waterproof (and whatever-else you encounter in the OR-proof) and have good grip. They feel like wide relaxed shoes, not at all like awful clogs.

These were game changers for me, love them

My first choice is European walking shoes in a dark color of course. My second choice is Hoka One One. I have not tried the Ultraboost but it looks like they knocked off the Hoka concept. Imitation is the finest form of flattery. 😉

I think Adidas Boost is from BASF and has nothing to do with Hoka.

There’s been a revolution in foam technology in the past 10 years. My favorite is Nike lunar foam. Super plush and light but still durable. Because it’s so plush, I could train in the lunaracer which has a relative thin midsole. The thinner midsole makes it inherently stable without adding a bunch of stability aids.
