Greetings everyone,

With chloral hydrate being discontinued last year what have you all been using for pediatric EEG sedation? One of Chloral Hydrate's benefits was that it did not suppress any eliptiform discharges. I have come across articles using melatonin and hydroxyzine, but I was wondering what the group here has been using in their practice experience.

Thanks in advance,

Nardo

Um, well, we're using chloral hydrate . . . maybe our hospital still has a big stock of it hidden away somewhere.

Clonidine is another option.
