you can imagine how hard it is for pharmacists to find jobs then. there were more interns than pharmacists before, i think it's probably less interns than pharmacists in my area because there's just too many pharmacists. at least in saturated areas, i think some are cutting back a bit because the companies are being flooded with job applications and have too many to choose from it becomes a hassle to handle all of them. i don't see as many interns these days.
only way is to have a connection. my experience is that if you email a DM with your resume and they decide to interview you, means they're interested and have a position to actually fill. based off the DM's response, they're trying to blow you off and ignore you without outright rejection. that happened to me before during school. the application goes nowhere. and emailing the DM is the best way usually. you should've had rotations too, use them ask if they have a job opening.
don't wait for their response, move on and keep applying. if you can't find anything after exhausting nearly every store, option out there, then you know you've screwed yourself picking the field lol. well i'm sure you'll find something, somewhere.
