prematched spots taken out?!?

have any of the programs that you have looked at prematched residents prior to the ACGME match? I'm just worried because my top program has already assigned two spots and left only 4 for the ACGME match this year!! I'm just wondering now how many other programs have already signed candidates and if there there was anything I could have said during my interview to have guaranteed a prematch offer at my top ranked program? 🙁

I noticed this a few times as well.

I'm not sure what to think. I figured that it may represent offers to international grads outside the match or highly qualified transfers from other programs. On the other hand maybe the program is downsizing.

Either way I didn't feel comfortable emailing the program and asking.

I wouldn't worry too much though. Four spots is plently if you really want to go there.
