I know its a little early for this, but I'm having difficulty separating 4 great programs from one another, that I have gotten great vibes from on the trail: UWashington (Seattle), Oregon, Stanford, and UTSW.
I'm interested in complex medical derm, so things I've been looking at most closely are consult months, presence (or absence) of county hospital, diversity of patient population, specialty clinics in things like rheum-derm, size of faculty, esp those with similar interests, as well as how happy and satisfied the residents appear to be.
Also may be interested in clinical research opportunities.
Location-wise I'd like living in any of them, though I don't know if I can handle 9 months of gray in Seattle or Portland.
Any opinions will be greatly appreciated and taken with the obligatory grain of salt.
