I was just wondering how it all works... do u just tell the prof to send the letter straight to the address of the school? Then, the school just hangs on to it until they recieve your application, OAT scores, etc?

It depends on the school. ICO and Pacific, for example, make the professors send it to you, and then you send it in a packet to them. Most schools the professor just sends it to the school. Read the info found on the school websites. But yes, the school will just hold onto the letter until it receives everything else.

it depends on your current school too. at my school there is a central pre-health office where all the profs send their LORs and once the office has received all of them they send a packet with all your info. if your school doesn't have this then you should provide stamped and addressed envelopes to your profs when you ask them to write you a letter

i didnt use the letter of rec service at my school cause it costs $$. i just gave my profs stamped envelopes and addresses. for UCB and ICO i had them give the letter back to me instead, signed and sealed of course.
