Hi,
My husband is applying for path this year and he's gotten some conflicting advice, so I told him I'd check with you guys.
Right now he's doing heme-onc, next is surg path. Then he's taking Step II and II-CS in November, and interviewing in December (does this sound all right so far?). The question is: In December he has a choice between doing research or doing an elective in digestive diseases. If he does the research he thinks he could get up to two publications to add to the six he already has. He would prefer to do the research, but would it be "frowned upon" if taken in lieu of the other class?
Thanks for any advice.
