Pathology resident here with a quick question i hope someone can shed some light on . . .

on average, how many specimens for path review would your average community derm practice generate per day? lets say #/doc? (since i know many practices vary in their number of staff physicians)

curious, and grateful for any input . . .

There will be a significant variation based upon both geographic location and personal practice style. If someone lives in a high skin cancer area and sees 80 people / day, they could easily generate 20 or more biopsies. If that same person lives in a lower prevalence region and sees 40/day, it could be as low as 3 or 4 / day. It's really hard to make a reliable blanket assessment.
