That's bc they are on probation and most of their students didn't pass the naplex

I think you can prob try. The thing is, you have to make sure you can pass naplex, I wouldn't want to go to a school that wouldn't prepare me well

Did you apply to Touro NY at all? The Link you provided only said the school is accredited with probation, does that justify that they will lose their accreditation altogether? Also, you didn't provide the source for the low Naplex passing rate as well as other things you mentioned before...
 
Just Google it yourself
 
If that's the school you want to go to. . You need to make the research yourself. I actually did my research and also called them.
If you want to know, then you should do the research instead of waiting for me to provide you with links.

No need to be all rude and aggressive. if you have legit info abt the school, then share, why being all grumpy and catching attitude here. Anyway, it doesn't look like you're applying this year, why being so hateful and bitter abt the school that you're not even applying. But good luck with your pharmacy career anyway!!??

it is not her responsibility, i.e. she doesnt have to do anything (well she can if she wants to). It is your responsibility to do DD and research. You could have got all those info w/ some simple Google searches instead of spending time here posting on SDN 🙂

Well, why I smell so much bully here? There's so many bull people here in pharmacy school forum I just don't understand. I mean it's not that serious, and plus if she didn't feel like replying, nobody will penalize her for that anyway. Calm down

I am not trying to bully you. I am simply saying if the other person already said that she did not want to do the work for you, you should go google or call the school for the info instead of wasting time here calling her rude and aggressive or this and that. I would just thank her for giving me the initial info (she did, right ??) and go on searching for the info. Trying to save you time sista. I think you are just oversensitive. My 2 cents 🙂

Lol dude she's right. I wasnt really interested in touro so i was just curious as to what she knew.... i have done my personal research on LIU and D'youville (both with a min gpa requirement of 2.5) but i would very much appreciate everyone's opinion on my chances of gettin in. 2.6 Gpa but i have a legit medical issue that made my gpa tank well below 3.0, lots of volunteer work but little pharmacy experience. Oh n a bachelors in pharmaceutical business. Havent taken pcat yet
 
I was accepted for January decisions!! Happiest day ever!! :soexcited:

They haven't emailed me on how to deposit my $1000. Has anyone else had any update from the office? It's been a week so far and I'm getting pretty worried!

Off topic, they sent an updated email regarding accredidation status: Touro is now off probation and remain accredited. Because of important enhancements made to our program to ensure the current and future success of our graduates, we are proud to boast a NAPLEX pass rate of 94% for first-time takers in the second trimester of 2014.

So excited!

Hey Vanille...congrats..i got accepted for january decision as well...I already got my student id via email and made the $1000 deposit too..Also the background check email..

Thank you IOU! yeah they actually emailed me the login ID after I posted my question so I paid the deposit. And I already did the background check for PharmCAS when I was accepted to another school. So official! I'm super excited to move to New York City ^_^
 
I just wanna ask if are they accepting a lot of international students from asian countries?
 
Did anyone, who had their interview in febuary get accepted. Especially candidates who interviewed on 02/19/2015

When did they send you your acceptance email?, i interviewd in Febuary, and i have not heard back yet, they usually send out notices at the begining of the month.
 
I was interviewed 1/29...got the acceptance email 2/10...good luck..

I interviewed in Dec 9, was put on the reserve pool in January, and then accepted Feb 11. Sometimes they lag at the beginning of the month. Is touro your first choice?

Femaledoc...im new to this site..if you can start up one that will be great....any of you know when do class start?..is there anything else we need to do after deposit and background check?..

does everyone get offered an interview? and if supposedly one gets one, how long after sending the supplemental app will it take them to offer and interview?
