so is it worth my time to even apply to a TRI as an AOA student applying to radiology. I hear that it's fine through this year to do a TRI but then I hear that some hospitals won't accept them. Anyone know the deal with this?

Yea it's basically the equivalent of a transitional year but for DOs. There has been questions if acgme Radiology residencies would accept them so I was wondering if any AOA students found out about this.

I believe that ACGME Rads want you to do ACGME accredited internship.

It's program dependent. More programs I interviewed at said it would not be accepted, a few said it would be ok. That was last year. Fewer will accept them this year, in fact they are not supposed to accept them anymore this year (last year was the last year they were allowed to accept them... at their discretion). Fellowships probably will not accept them either, so you will be shooting yourself in the foot later down the line. Just get an ACGME internship.
