oh that sucks! I was going to submit to them but saw they had closed their spot ERAS. At least that program actually updated the status on ERAS. I bet there are countless others who don't say anything ... :-( Still... you should get your $ back since UMDNJ doesn't have a website so there was no way you could have known they withdrew their spot.

well... i wasn't even going to apply there cause chances are if you are not from NJ or don't somehow have ties to the program you are not going to get the spot. but decided to apply anyway b/c my experience with interviews last time around was that they were completely random. sorta p*sses me off but whatever.... another thing that really really P*ssed me off last time around was when i decided to call a program that i applied to last time to ask if they had made a decision on my application. they told me they don't consider applicants from my state!! wth?? and this was not a small program or program from a tiny state or anything...

What program was that? And do you mind saying what state you're from? I hope I didn't apply there.

FYI, I also got that email UMDNJ email. You'd think they would make that known before we applied, but whatever.

I'd rather not "out" the program on a public forum, but let's just say that it is a program that probably many people applied to b/c it is not one that you'd expect to not consider out of state/region applications.
Stupidly, I have applied again this year hoping they have changed their policy 🙄

I respect that you don't want to "out" the program, but if they were willing to tell you so much over the phone, it doesn't seem they are trying to hard to hide anything...

I wouldn't out programs and I would edit that post and remove the identifications. As much as we would like an honest forum, don't be the fall guy and you can make private communications privately. No need to put it out there for the actual program to figure out who you were and then have some sort of fall out...it's not about censorship so much as just being sensible

BTW, I'm not affiliated at all with the program that you have listed but i don't want to see you burned down the line.

I'm new to the whole "applying for residency" thing (actually won't be doing it until next year) and the last thing I'd want to do was get kral in hot water at all. I guess it does pay off to be extra careful. I was just curious but understand why you wouldn't want to post the name.
