did anyone get any kind of a scholarship to umsl?? my stats weren't that amazing and i got an interview offer and a 7000 scholarship offer... anone else have a similar story?? does this mean i have a better shot of getting in or is this fairly common? lemme know what you all think...

yeah i also got a 13,000 scholarship. that is kind of weird though, because why would they offer you a scholarships without expecting you first.

ive been tryin to see if its a preliminary acceptance or what..... see if you can find anything out about it..... does this mean we've been accepted pending us going out there to interview?? interesting.... ask around...i will as well

hi, i interviewed at umsl in november. they also offered me a 13,000 scholarship before i ever came. this is just to encourage you to come there and interview. i was accepted but i'm pretty sure they offer all non-regionals a scholarship before you come. I would not consider the scholarship to have a predicting factor on acceptance

They offered me a 14000$ scholarship prior to acceptance. Actually, I am currently at the airport waiting to get home so I can go to the interview on monday. 🙂 I think they're just trying to promote out of state students to attend their school though. Who knows. It worked for me, I'm actually accepting the interview! 🙂

I didn't apply to UMSL...but I am curious to know if UMSL offering the 13,000/14,000 scholarship to out-of-state residents means the same thing as the out-of-state resident getting in-state tuition?

they have something like this at Univ. of Houston college of Opt. where they offer competitive out-of-state residents $1000 and then in-state tuition, which saves about $11,000 per year
