I just graduated college and am applying to medical school this year, so I will be taking a gap year. I most likely will be starting a job mid-late July, which is about the same time I will be submitting my AMCAS application.

Should I just wait until the secondaries to put the details about my job? Or should I put it on my primary before submitting it?

I feel it would be better to put it on my secondary because by then, I'll a bit more experience, hours, etc., with the job. But, I figured I would ask, just in case 🙂

Do you know what the job is and the probable start date, or have you yet to be hired and have no idea what you'll do?

The job will be working with children in a daycare. I have connections with people regarding the job. But, there is no exact date yet, but most likely will be mid-late July.

If you've done anything similar before, you might sneak mention of the future plan into the end of the narrative. Otherwise, save it for Secondaries, unless you start the position by the time you submit the Primary.

For things like scribing, would it be OK to give then a general description (since I most likely won't start til mid-end June) and put it in my activities section?
