Congratulations to all the M4s who matched!! VERY impressive!
I had a few questions about UW in Seattle. I've heard it's a strong program, but don't know much else as there's not much to see at scutwork.com.
At any rate, my questions are directed mainly to those who are familiar with the program either through the interview trail or otherwise: what are your impressions of the training? housing/living arrangement? what are the hours like on surg path rotations? fellowship placement? jobs in seattle for graduates? and pretty much any other info you think might be useful to an interested applicant. I would appreciate any tid bits you can offer!! Thank you so much!

Most importantly- very friendly faculty! This is my home program and I spent a month on surg path/autopsy last summer. Certainly some of the nicest people I've met in all of medical school. Drawbacks that I found- affordability of Seattle (ie I can't afford a backyard for my kids), non-integrated training (most residents do 2 yrs of AP, then 2 yrs of CP). This is a great program with reasonable hours in a very friendly city, but unless you want a very long commute or don't mind living in an apartment for another 4-5 years, this program may not be for you.
