Hello all,
Just wanted to get your opinion on my plans after taking my board exam in early June. I am planning to take 2 months before starting my core rotations in Korea to observe and learn about the dermatological techniques and methods. Would this be beneficial for my application come NRMP time? Thank you.
Could be something interesting to talk about during interviews and certainly couldn't hurt but I'm not sure how much of a boost it gives you in the end. Did you take time off between 3rd and 4th year? I'm curious as to how you have a full 2 months off before your 4th year rotations begin?
Maybe I misunderstood, but I interpreted his post to mean that he was taking Step I (his "boards") and then starting 3rd year ("core rotations") next. But the ambiguity in the post is rather unhelpful.
