I am potentionally interested in radiology as a field. I think I learn best by figuring things out, and wonder how difficult it was for people to transition to such a visual environment as the field of radiology is. I also do in fact want to see patients daily, perhaps 2 a day or somewhere along those lines. I studied computer engineering for undergraduate and even worked for a fortune 500 company for a year and found sitting in front of the computer all day without interacting with people would get annoying. Nonetheless the high technology aspect, less socio economic crap to deal with really attracts me to radiology. If I decide to pursue radiology i would prefer a spot in NYC or Boston area. I have a bunch of family connections to NYC. Grade wise I am probably within the top 40% of my class (an average medical school) and I scored a 240 on the Step 1.

I would appreciate any input from you guys with regards to making the transition to visualization, and with regards to how competative I am for a university linked program in NYC or Boston.
