Hi,
I am currently at my last semester at a 4 year college and I have taken all of my pre-requisites for vet school except for Physics II.
For some vet schools it says that "lower division" courses taken at a community college will be accepted but I am not sure if Physics II is considered a lower division or an upper division course.
If the credit will be accepted, I am planning on fulfilling my PHY II requirement at a community college.

Does anyone know if vet schools will accept PHY II credits taken at a community college?
Any suggestions?

Thank you!!

I took it at a community college and had no issues with the 8 schools I applied to. I think for the most part it is okay from a CC, but if you aren't sure about a particular school you're applying to, just contact them! 🙂 good luck!

Since the class is the second sequence of an introductory series, I *believe* it is considered a lower division course.

I would definitely contact schools you're interested in. It'll be different for some, as some require prereqs to be done at a 4 year instituion.

I'd say so. It's 2000 level at my school (general, trig based physics) but some may do it differently who knows!

Yeah, it's a 100 level at mine, but numberings vary so drastically.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention 2000 is lower div at my school. Upper is 3000-4000. They're all different for sure

Thank you all for the comments!
Yes, I'll definitely contact some schools to check whether they'll accept CC credits.

I took both of my physics courses at the community college and no problems with applying.

I'm not sure about all schools, but UF said lower level (1000-2000) classes can be taken at a CC but upper (3000-4000) level classes had to be taken at a 4 year. At my school physics 2 is a 2000 level class so I'll be taking it at a CC!

I thought the only one that wouldn't take them was Oklahoma? I took my entire Chem series at CC (101, 102, Orgo201 and Orgo202) and got 6 interviews and 3 acceptances so far. Don't let anyone tell you CC credits aren't good enough!
