Just took the boards and thought Part I was harder than i was expecting it to be. Also, lot more EMG questions than I was ready for! Anyone else take it yet?

Thanks for the input. How many questions on each part? I've heard about 400 total...

So how is this thing actually scored? Tried searching the ABPN website and this forum but no much info.

I've heard through word of mouth a passing score is somewhere around 70-80%. Is this accurate?

Does anyone know the overall pass rate?

I agree, part I was definitely harder than part II, so glad to hear I am not the only one who feels this way.

lots of neuromuscular..

i'm just glad it's over.. hopefully i don't have to take that damn thing again..

i finished with about an hour to spare on each section.. anyone else finish early?

Hey all,

Do we have to hold a state license (not just a training license) to become board certified after passing the ABPN initial certification exam? I heard this is true for my Anesthesiology colleagues. They actually don't get a result (or their exam score is delayed) until they attain a state license...
