YupWhat, you give propofol?
Whenever you have an abnormal QT, don't trust the machine, check it yourself (on a paper EKG). Machines are famous for misreading waves.I had a patient today who’s QTc was 770 per her EKG. I couldn’t really tell because I could hardly see the T wave as it was flat. In the OR it didn’t look too long though.
No, we induce with magnesium. What, you give propofol?
Yup. And I don’t even know how it could have read it because T wave was totally flat. Didn’t look on monitor to be 700.Whenever you have an abnormal QT, don't trust the machine, check it yourself (on a paper EKG). Machines are famous for misreading waves.
Haha. Well, it does make you sleepy. And will help with Torsades. No, we induce with magnesium.
