I was also accepted last Thursday and I haven't received an email or a letter yet. I'm hoping they send them out by the end of this week.

Same here! Got my acceptance Thursday, and still no email. Glad to know I'm not the only one! I think I'll probably call by Friday just to make sure though.

Hey! Sorry for the late response! Was busy for the Easter weekend. I just got off the phone with Eva and she said that an email or a physical letter should have been sent out recently, so you can expect to see it soon. She's going to update me later today just to follow up on the status, so hopefully that clears things up!

Okay thanks so much! Let me know if she says anything else. The email definitely wasn't sent out yet if we all didn't get it haha

I am So excited! I received a phone called today and I was accepted to Southhampton campus. I was in the last interview, 18th 🙂 ..... Hopefully I'll received a formal letter soon.

Anyone here from the area could help suggest me to some decent, cheap place to rent for housing ?
Also, anyone here plan on sharing room?

By the way, do we have a Facebook page yet?

Congrats! I'm also looking for housing for the Southampton campus because commuting is out of the question for me. Any ideas would be appreciated!
I also haven't seen anything for a Facebook page yet.
 
Hi everyone! I was also accepted by phone on March 17th (I had a march interview) to the Southampton campus. Southampton wasn't my first choice based on location but I love the campus!! Really relieved to hear that everyone else is waiting on their letter too, I was getting nervous that mine got lost in the mail! So excited to get started.

Also I'm thinking of dorming (I live an hour away without traffic, can't do that commute without going crazy), but are others renting? I would be happy to rent with someone if the price is right.
 
Congrats on the recent acceptances! I would check Craigslist, with the University for on campus housing, and the big apartment complexes (Fairfield and Heatherwood). You could also check with realtors for rentals, but you will have to pay the realtor's fee. LI is kind of expensive, so I recommend starting early so you have time to shop around. If anyone has any other questions about the area, let me know. Can't wait to meet you all! 🙂
 
I was looking into renting and would be happy to rent with someone! I haven't completely ruled out on-campus housing but renting something off-campus would be preferred.

Hey guys! I just got a call and have been accepted to the South Hampton campus! I cannot believe it. I was planning on moving too, if it's not too expensive because Southhampton is about an hour from home, so I'd be interested in looking for places to live too. This is so exciting, I can't wait to meet everyone. 😀
 
I live about an hour from campus...south shore of nassau county...and am going to try to commute. I know alot of people in the program already who commute from about an hour away...or students who go to the stony brook campus but live in queens. Anyway..for anyone who is going to be commuting..private message me and maybe we could do a carpool..Dr. Rodriguez said alot of students do that. I also know theres housing for 50 dollars a night on campus for any students who dont want to live out their permanently but might want to stay over a few nights a month
 
@cnfot94 where did you find out about the option to get a room for 50 dollars a night?
 
I tried to make a Facebook group for us all the chat in but it won't let me unless I can immediately invite one other person, but I don't know anyone's names! If anyone wants to give me their name or email I can make a group

I am, i did it online (which I know is subpar) but Stony Brook didn't seem to mind, and it was way cheaper than in person courses

I was also accepted to Stony Brook campus! I know it seems like a lot of people on here have been accepted to Southampton, I'm looking forward to meeting all of you in a few months! We should definitely get a Facebook group going for our entire class eventually since I think we'll all be interacting with each other regardless of what campus we're at!

Whoops! I was in a rush when I made it, and accidentally made it a secret group, you should be able to get to it now (trying to watch 4 year old twins and make a Facebook group don't mix I guess)
 
Hello, Everyone!

I would also be interested in carpooling. I can't commit to anything just yet because I have to see if carpooling would work with picking up my daughter from summer camp on time, but if it will, I would love to. I am located in Middle Island, and my daughter's camp is in Coram. Will anyone be coming from that area?

For anyone who has recently spoken to Eva, did she say anything about when we would register for classes?
 
@agOT2016 @FutureOT6769 Congratulations to you both!! I'm also at Stony Brook campus! I'll be commuting from Port Jeff, which is only about 10 minutes away so it isn't too bad

I'm going to make a general FB group called "Stony Brook OT Class of 2019" but it won't let me create it until I add one other person to the group, so if someone wants to give me their name or email I can make it! It can just be a group for whoever wants to join from our entire class or people from the Stony Brook campus, whatever you guys want to do!
 
Have any of you who heard they were accepted recently received the letter or email yet? I'm still waiting on mine.

Was just about to ask the same! I got the call back on March 18th and still no email or official letter yet. Eva was supposed to follow up with me last week when i called, but still no response. My parents are getting a bit paranoid now lol
 
I think she is without an assistant and has been for a while, which might explain the delay. My letter came from someone who had volunteered to help send out letters. I recently emailed her to make sure my official transcripts had been received, and I have not received a response. I hope you all hear back soon; I was anxious to get everything in writing too!

I got my call march 17th, and I agree about the paranoia! I know its coming but I'm getting impatient lol
 
Those who are still waiting to hear acceptance or denial, they are still reviewing the applications post-interview. My advisor found out that they are reviewing another list of people this week.

That gives me so much hope!!!!!! Does that mean they're going to accept people without an interview?
 
@FutureOT4246 This probably means people who interviewed and have not heard back still have a chance of being accepted. I don't think they admit without interviewing. Sorry, I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news. 🙁
 
Hey guys. Does anyone know if people have heard waitlist/rejections? I interviewed in January and still have not heard anything yet. I even tried emailing twice and got no response. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi there,
I am in a similar situation because I interviewed in December and I haven't heard a peep from them. I called the OT department on Thursday and the person who answered told me it could be up to two more weeks, but applications were still under consideration. I'm getting really frustrated because I have to make a decision about other schools very soon.
I'm hoping this time two weeks actually means two weeks.
